Dr. Shoemaker provided excellent care and I am grateful that it was a successful surgery all due to his skill. Dr. Shoemaker has a high level of expertise, professionalism coupled with compassion. His surgical expertise and perfectionism gave me total trust and confidence in him and the outcome of my surgery. I would definitely say implants and fixed teeth are worth the time and money investment! You cannot put a price on a healthy mouth! I can eat anything and I can wear any color lipstick because my teeth look good!! (I know, how shallow!) Not only do I find myself smiling more but my smile is bigger and wider. Implants have changed my quality of life; I no longer have the constant worry and anxiety about my teeth. If I had to choose to do implants again I would because I have a healthy and well-functioning mouth and would recommend implant dentistry to family and friends. I contacted Dr. Shoemaker's office after seeing his commercial on TV. My teeth were starting to break off and I was experiencing some pain. I knew I had to find a good dentist and knew I did not want a removable denture. I wanted teeth that would remain permanently in my mouth. Dr. Shoemaker and I hit it off right away. He was a perfect fit for my dental needs. After a complete dental physical we discussed my best options for permanent teeth was to place an upper fixed implant bridge. My care was the best I had ever experienced. It was very different from any other dental office I had ever been to. Everyone in his office is wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The time and money I invested into my dental health was worth it and I would not change any of my final treatment. I am able to chew my food better. I am enjoying smiling and talking much more. I no longer have stomach problems. I have learned a lot about taking care of my teeth and their importance to my overall health. Just brushing is not the answer. Flossing and professional cleaning is also very important. I am thrilled to have permanent teeth that do not come in and out of my mouth. I had been wearing traditional dentures for 26 years. I was tired of hurting and having sores throughout my mouth. I decided it was time to meet with a dentist who knew how to help me solve my dental problems. I had seen Dr. Shoemaker’s ad in the newspaper so I phoned his office and met with him. We discussed my poor fitting dentures along with numerous ways that he could fix them for me. In July 2016 Dr. Shoemaker began my treatment. Dr. Shoemaker impressed me with his knowledge and his attention to detail during my treatment. He and his staff were very nice, friendly and attentive to my needs as a patient. I was nervous when I came to meet Dr. Shoemaker. I had been to several other offices for consultations about my dental health. But my nerves were eased immediately upon meeting Dr. Shoemaker and his staff. I knew I was losing teeth and bone and that the bone loss would continue if I didn’t do something. I had bad teeth. I wanted a bright smile. I was ashamed of my smile and felt my teeth were unsightly. I was wearing a 12 year old upper denture and hated it. I had difficulty speaking. I had to use denture adhesive, it moved around a lot in my mouth and was never stable, plus it tended to gag me and affected my speech. I couldn’t eat the foods I liked.
